Willis McGahee has torn MCL, will miss significant time for fantasy owners

Willis McGahee is out with a torn MCL. We break down the fantasy implications.

Sources report that Willis McGahee suffered a torn MCL and a leg fracture in Week 12 against the Chargers. He will be out six to eight weeks, likely missing the remainder of the fantasy football season.

The Broncos are working out running backs on Tuesday, with Steve Slaton among the group of possible candidates.

Fantasy Impact: McGahee seemed to believe it wasn't a serious injury after the game, but his MRI on Monday revealed his case was much more serious. Ronnie Hillman and Lance Ball will now battle to handle the workload in the backfield for the Broncos.

Hillman appears to have more upside as he's been eased into Denver's offense throughout the year. He saw 12 carries compared to Ball's six after McGahee went down on Sunday. Hillman needs to be picked up in all leagues.
