Philip Rivers slowed down as the night went on. We break down the fantasy implications.
From early on it looked like Philip Rivers was going to dominate Week 9's matchup against the Chiefs. He kept up the consistency, finishing 18 of 20 passing, but gained only 220 yards on the night along with two touchdowns and a pick.
Rivers didn't need to do much as the run game picked up the pace in the second half.
Fantasy Impact: He nearly had a three-touchdown day, but Rivers turned the ball over by throwing a pick in the end zone before halftime. Even though he eased up a bit after the first half, Rivers still came away with a decent day, considering he was playing with two new receivers as well.
The Chargers play a less than impressive Buccaneers squad next week, so Rivers should have another shot at putting up at least positive numbers.
