Jahvid Best has as much upside as any player in fantasy football, but owners will have to wait until 2013 to find out if Best can return to action. He will remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.
Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best will remain on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, ending his season, according to Adam Caplan.
Best has not played at all this season after suffering his second concussion in 2011. Best, who has played in just 22 games in his three-year NFL career, has not yet been cleared for contact.
Fantasy Impact: Jahvid Best was a fantasy football star in the early part of 2011, but the season-ending concussion derailed his fantasy value. The Lions are exercising extreme caution with Best, as they should.
In Best's absence, Mikel Leshoure has been the Lions' No. 1 option in the backfield. Leshoure's season has been up and down due to some tough match-ups and his own inconsistency.
