Fantasy Football PPR Target Report, Week 11: Tight Ends

Jared Wickerham

Which tight ends received the most targets in Week 11? Read on in the Week 11 PPR Target Report.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will join teammate Aaron Hernandez on the sidelines as he had surgery on Monday to repair his broken left forearm. He broke the forearm after scoring two touchdowns in the Patriots blowout win over the Colts on Sunday.

If you haven't picked up Raiders tight end Brandon Myers yet, and he is still available, I suggest you grab him this week, as he continues to be a favorite of quarterback Carson Palmer.

Let's take a look at the tight ends who were targeted the most in Week 11:

Hitting the Bulleye

Garret Graham, HOU

If you were watching highlights of the Texans-Jaguars game, and saw a tight end catching two touchdown passes from quarterback Matt Schaub and thought it was Owen Daniels, join the club!! Graham caught eight of his nine targets for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the high scoring overtime thriller vs the Jaguars on Sunday.

Rob Gronkowski, NE

Gronk caught all seven of his targets on Sunday for 137 yards and two touchdowns before breaking his forearm. Gronkowski will miss at least the next four weeks of the season, and could be out for the rest of the season. He is currently tied with Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for the most touchdowns with ten. He should be grouped in with the wide receiver rankings in 2013, as he has caught 53 of his 75 targets for 748 yards and the aforementioned ten touchdowns.

Ben Watson, CLE

Who would have thought that Ben Watson would ever appear in this report in 2012. Watson caught four of his eight targets for 47 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday in the Browns overtime loss to the Cowboys. He now has caught 25 of his 43 targets for 229 yards and two touchdowns. I wouldn't be running out and grabbing him off the waiver wire based on one good performance.

Missing the Mark

Antonio Gates, SD

Gates was targeted just four times in Sunday's game vs division rival Broncos in Week 11. He caught two of his four targets for just 17 yards and no touchdowns. For the season, he has caught 34 of his 50 targets for 355 yards and four scores, and appears to be used less and less in the Chargers aerial attack, as he has not had one game with 10 or more targets all season. Unless you are in a league which requires you to fill a tight end slot, he is more than a bench guy.
