Brandon Marshall's TD score was his only saving grace in a miserable Bears performance. We break down the fantasy implications.
It was a night to forget for the Chicago Bears on Monday night, and WR Brandon Marshall was one of the few bright spots. Against the San Francisco 49ers, Marshall hauled in just two catches for 21 yards and one TD. One of those catches was an impressive 13-yard TD in the 4th quarter.
Marshall's score was the definition of garbage time, as the Bears lost 32-7 in an embarrassing performance.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners will take the score, but Marshall couldn't do anything with Jason Campbell completely stinking up the joint. If Jay Cutler is out for any extra time, the Bears' playoff hopes are suddenly in trouble.
Marshall has been a reliable WR1 all year, so let's not panic over one quiet game, but he really needs Cutler back soon. Campbell is not the answer whatsoever.
