Pierre Garcon injury update: Questionable tag for Thursday further limits fantasy value

Al Messerschmidt

With his entire season in a mess since a Week 1 foot injury, Garcon isn't a good bet to be productive on Thanksgiving. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's Thanksgiving matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Garcon has been limited all week in practice with a foot injury suffered in Week 1 against the Saints.

Garcon first returned to the field in Week 4 against the Buccaneers but was limited to one catch. He was out again between Weeks 6 and 9, then returned in Week 10 and had three catches for only five yards. Since his 88-yard touchdown in Week 1, he's been completely ineffective thanks to the foot.

Fantasy Take: I would expect Garcon to play, it seems as though Mike Shanahan is sick of him not playing, but I wouldn't expect him to do much. Without that explosiveness, he's been a lame duck out there. Look elsewhere until he proves his foot is healthy.
