Ben Tate is inactive for Thursday's Thanksgiving Day game between the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions. We break down the fantasy implications.
Ben Tate is inactive for Thursday's Thanksgiving Day game between the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions due lingering problems with a hamstring injury. He was unable to practice this week, though he did work out with trainers on Tuesday.
Tate has now missed four consecutive games this season. He has 178 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 43 carries through six appearances this season.
Fantasy Impact: Tate should have fallen off your fantasy roster a long time ago, but with the season in its home stretch he is even less valuable. He was a productive player last season despite playing behind Arian Foster, but even when healthy Tate struggled to do anything relevant in 2012.
Justin Forsett will be Foster's backup Thursday, but there isn't much to like from a fantasy perspective there, either. He has just 17 carries over his last three outings.
