Matthew Stafford is getting back on the wagon after torching the Texans on Thanksgiving. We break down the fantasy implications.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a career game on Thanksgiving against the Texans. He completed 31-of-61 passes for 441 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions and a 85.5 QB Rating. The Lions all but abandoned the run game and Stafford did just about everything he needed to do to win.
Unfortunately, the effort went for naught, as the Lions fell 34-31 in overtime behind a controversial touchdown run from Justin Forsett.
Fantasy Impact: Stafford has had an up-and-down year, but he was nearly flawless against a Texans defense badly missing Brian Cushing and Johnathan Joseph. A handful of drops were the only thing keeping his completion percentage down.
The Lions will face the Colts in Week 13 to salvage their playoff hopes, and fantasy owners can confidently lock him in as a QB1.
