Aaron Hernandez fails to make an impact for fantasy owners in Week 12

Andrew Burton

Aaron Hernandez stayed quiet throughout the night against the Jets. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Patriots finally saw Aaron Hernandez return to action against the Jets after missing multiple weeks with an ankle injury. He caught just two passes for 36 yards on three targets, but saw a fair amount of snaps in his first game since Week 7.

With extra time to rest before his next matchup, Hernandez should see an increase in production.

Fantasy Impact: It wasn't the glorious return his owners were hoping for, but it had to be expected that New England would scale his workload back a bit in his return. The Patriots offense also didn't need to constantly throw the ball, meaning a lesser need to overuse Hernandez right away.

The Pats face the Dolphins in Week 12. Hernandez should be closer to his regular self with over a week to prepare.
