Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE
Julio Jones is expected to play for the Falcons during Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. We break down the fantasy implications.
Julio Jones is expected to suit up for the Atlanta Falcons for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to reports. Jones has been hampered in recent weeks by a sore ankle suffered in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
Jones has yet to miss a game due to the injury. He played last week despite not practicing at all leading up to kickoff. Jones was a limited participant Thursday and Friday this past week.
Fantasy Impact: Jones will be on the field, but whether he is effective is a bigger question for fantasy owners. He had just three receptions for 33 yards last week, which was his second-worst yardage output of the season.
Jones' matchup is a decent one this week, so he is probably still worth the gamble in most fantasy formats. Just bear in mind that Jones' chances of producing a dud are much higher than normal, as well.
