Darren McFadden has been ruled inactive for Sunday's game between the Raiders and the Bengals. We break down the fantasy implications.
Darren McFadden has been ruled inactive for Sunday's game between the Oakland Raiders and the Cincinnati Bengals. McFadden will miss his third straight game with an ankle injury suffered in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mike Goodson has also been ruled out, making Marcel Reece the likely starter for a third straight game. Reece has recorded at least 95 total yards in three consecutive games.
Fantasy Impact: Reece is a solid fantasy starter in all formats, but especially in PPR leagues where his bountiful targets in the passing game give owners an extra boost. He has been a solid runner between the tackles, too, but his heavy involvement in the passing game makes him safe fantasy option if the Raiders' run game is shut down.
The Bengals don't present a particularly daunting challenge defensively, so Reece should remain in your starting lineup. Be sure to revisit McFadden's status next week, but the fact that he did not practice puts his long-term status in serious jeopardy.
