Dennis Pitta has been marked active for Sunday's game between the Ravens and the Chargers after suffering a concussion last week against the Steelers. We break down the fantasy implications.
Dennis Pitta is active for Sunday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Diego Chargers after suffering a concussion last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pitta passed baseline neurological testing early in the week, and was listed as probable on Friday's injury report.
Pitta will presumably assume his role as the Ravens' No. 1 tight end. He was a full participant in practice this past week, and is not expected to be limited.
Fantasy Impact: Pitta hasn't been the same fantasy option he was early in the season. He has just one touchdown reception over his last seven games, after catching two in the first three games of the season. He is head and shoulders above teammate Ed Dickson at this point, however. If you're absolutely desperate for a starter, Pitta is worth consideration. He isn't worth much more than the better tight ends found off waivers.
