Matt Kartozian-US PRESSWIRE
Beanie Wells has been marked active for the Cardinals for Sunday's game against the Rams. We break down the fantasy implications.
Beanie Wells is active for Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. Wells has not played for the Cardinals since suffering a toe injury in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
LaRod Stephens-Howling is also active, setting up a potential timeshare in Arizona. Stephens-Howling is coming off a 127-yard rushing performance last week against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Impact: Wells seemed like a safe bet to assume the feature role in the Cardinals' offense at one point, but Stephens-Howling's performance last week threw a wrench into that plan. Stephens-Howling is probably the fantasy back to own of the two, but the fact that Wells is back will likely cut into his fantasy value. Considering the inconsistency of the Cardinals' running game this season, neither back is recommended as more than a flex option.
