Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin was bottled up for most of the game by the Atlanta Falcons, but he did manage to find the end zone twice. We break down the fantasy implications.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin had the least efficient day of his career in terms of yardage, but did find the end zone twice in Tampa's 24-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Martin carried the ball 21 times for only 50 yards, but added two touchdowns and two receptions for 13 yards.
Martin was held in check, but fantasy owners will have no problem with the numbers he put up on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: Even on a bad day Martin found a way to be an impact fantasy player. His 2.4 yards per carry were his worst from any game this season, but two touchdowns makes that easily forgivable.
Martin has firmly earned himself the honor of being called a top-level fantasy back. Don't worry too much about the lack of yardage, he's not likely to be bottled up like that too many times.
