Golden Tate used a ridiculous catch to salvage an otherwise quiet day. We break down the fantasy implications.
Seattle Seahawks WR Golden Tate had another decent performance thanks to one play. Against the Miami Dolphins in Week 12, Tate hauled in four catches on five targets, for 56 yards. The bulk of his yards came on an insane 32-yard catch near the goal line, where he picked the ball off the turf while falling down.
The Seahawks went on to lose 24-21.
Fantasy Impact: Tate remains one of those frustrating "boom or bust" players, but he has the talent to make those kind of ridiculous plays, and Russell Wilson has the deep arm to get it to him.
Tate is a fantasy WR3 on his best days, but he's too inconsistent for fantasy owners to count on in the crucial playoff race.
