Kyle Rudolph had five receptions to lead the Vikings with 55 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.
Kyle Rudolph had five receptions to lead the Minnesota Vikings with 55 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. Rudolph has 12 receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games.
It should come as no surprise that the usual go-to receiver Percy Harvin has missed the last two games for the Vikings due to an ankle injury. Rudolph appears to have benefited directly from Harvin's absence, especially in the red zone.
Fantasy Impact: Rudolph had gone three straight games without a touchdown until Week 11, registering just two total receptions over that span. He has asserted himself as Christian Ponder's favorite target with Harvin sidelined, however, making him a solid fantasy starter in recent weeks.
If you own Rudolph, keep a sharp eye on the Vikings' injury reports next week. If Harvin is ruled out again, Rudolph should be a solider fantasy starter next week against the Green Bay Packers.
