Jacquizz Rodgers was the leading rusher for the Atlanta Falcons against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We break down the fantasy implications.
Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers had a solid outing in the Falcons 24-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rodgers carried the ball 10 times for 49 yards with a second-quarter touchdown, he also caught two passes for thirty yards.
Rodgers was more productive than Michael Turner, who was held to 17 yards on 13 carries. The 10 carries for Rodgers tied his season high.
Fantasy Impact: With Rodgers soundly outperforming Turner it is possible the Falcons will try to work him into the offense more frequently going forward.
Atlanta is never going to be a run first team, so Rodgers value is limited, but is he can continue to play like he did against the Bucs he could become a solid fantasy option going forward.
