Ray Rice off to solid fantasy start Sunday

Jason Bridge-US PRESSWIRE

Ray Rice is off to a solid start Sunday, with 45 yards rushing and 19 yards receiving through the first half of Sunday's game between the Ravens and the Chargers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ray Rice has 45 yards rushing on nine carries and 19 yards receiving on four receptions at halftime of Sunday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Diego Chargers. He has yet to find the end zone, however, as the Ravens find themselves down, 10-0, at halftime.

Rice has now had at least four receptions in seven of 11 games played this season. He is on pace to go over 100 total yards for the sixth time this season.

Fantasy Impact: Rice is on track for an excellent day for fantasy owners, especially in PPR leagues where owners can take advantage of his high volume of targets. The Ravens are en route to bad day on the scoreboard, but that shouldn't affect Rice's numbers. He will just make his numbers in the passing game rather than on the ground.

Rice has gone under 90 total yards just twice this year, making him as consistent a fantasy option at running back as one can find. He remains a solid weekly starter in all formats.
