Larry Fitzgerald turns in quiet first half for fantasy owners

Jamie Squire

Larry Fitzgerald has three receptions for 31 yards at halftime of Sunday's game between the Cardinals and the Rams. We break down the fantasy implications.

Larry Fitzgerald had three receptions for 31 yards in the first half of Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. Fitzgerald was targeted six times, which is ahead of all but tight end Rob Housler.

Fitzgerald appears to be the only not benefiting immensely with rookie Ryan Lindley under center. Housler, Andre Roberts and William Powell all have more yards receiving so far.

Fantasy Impact: Fitzgerald is seeing plenty of targets, so there is still time yet for him to have a big fantasy outing against the Rams. Then again, St. Louis has been one of the best teams in the league against the pass this season, allowing just 222 yards per game and 13 total passing touchdowns on the season.

Lindley is playing well, however, so perhaps it's just a matter of time before Fitzgerald makes a big play. At least he is on his way to a solid day from a PPR perspective.
