Chris Johnson cools off in fantasy against Jaguars

Scott Cunningham

Chris Johnson only averaged 3.8 yards per carry in Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.

Chris Johnson rushed for 80 yards on 21 carries against the Jaguars, also catching two passes for another 29 yards in Week 12. He failed to score a touchdown after finding the end zone in each of his last two games.

CJ1K is now just 58 yards away from the 1,000-yard mark in 2012.

Fantasy Impact: It wasn't one of the awful performances we became accustomed to seeing from Johnson last season, but the Jaguars kept him in check for most of the afternoon. The Titans remained committed to running the ball, allowing him to pile on the yards down the stretch.

Johnson faces a tough matchup next week against the Texans. Houston did just allow its first rushing touchdown of the year on Thanksgiving, so at least there's hope.
