DeSean Jackson had just one reception for 9 yards before leaving Monday night's contest between the Eagles and the Panthers with a rib cartilage injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

DeSean Jackson had just one reception for nine yards before leaving the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football with a rib cartilage injury. Eagles head coach Andy Reid said after the game that Jackson will undergo a CT scan on Tuesday morning.

It's unlikely that Jackson would have put up big numbers Monday if he had been able to remain on the field. Nick Foles went 16 for 21 passing for a paltry 119 yards and zero touchdowns.

Fantasy Impact: Assuming Jackson isn't out long term (hopefully we'll know more tomorrow), it's hard to like Jackson's fantasy prospects if Foles remains the Eagles' starting quarterback. In two games with the rookie starting under center, Jackson had just three receptions for 14 yards off 10 targets.

There is a chance Michael Vick returns from his concussion this week, which would boost Jackson's fantasy value significantly. Consider Jackson a solid WR2 if he and Vick are healthy. Otherwise, you may want to consider rolling without the explosive wideout if the Eagles continue to protect their inexperienced signal caller.
