Jimmy Graham, Tony Gonzalez could treat fantasy owners to another TE duel

Chris Graythen

Tight ends Jimmy Graham and Tony Gonzalez could again have big nights when the New Orleans Saints face the Atlanta Falcons. We break down the fantasy implications.

It's hard to imagine tight ends Jimmy Graham and Tony Gonzalez being much better than they were in Week 10 when the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons faced off for the first time this season. Graham had seven catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 31-27 win, while Gonzalez finished with 11 catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

The Falcons and Saints meet again on Thursday at the Georgia Dome, and the previous meeting remains Atlanta's only loss of the season. According to The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, this season's first meeting was the first time in NFL history where two tight ends tallied more than 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the same game.

Fantasy Impact: There are some fantasy owners fighting for playoff spots that would happily take another game like this from Graham and Gonzalez. There are also plenty of fantasy owners playing against these tight ends who cringe at the thought of it.

Graham and Gonzalez are always two of the top rated fantasy tight ends and it comes with good reason this week. Both players are must-starts in all formats.
