Todd Heap injury update: Fantasy status looks bleak

Norm Hall

Todd Heap is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the Cardinals and the Packers due to a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Todd Heap is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. Heap has been listed as questionable for several weeks now due to a knee injury, but has yet to play a down since Week 2 against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Impact: Wait to see what the inactive list says, but at this point, it is probably a safe bet that Heap will not play against the Packers. He has been a limited participant in practice for a while now, and yet he doesn't seem to be any closer to seeing the field.

His fantasy prospects could be pretty good if/when Heap is able to return. Against the Pats, he was targeted nine times and had five catches for 62 yards despite playing just 36 snaps. He is worth a speculative pickup off waivers if you do need help at tight end, just be sure to wait until he is actually playing again.
