Trent Richardson injury update: Fantasy status safe despite limited practice participation

Matt Sullivan

Trent Richardson is expected to play Sunday when the Browns take on the Ravens, despite being limited in practice due to a ribs injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Trent Richardson is expected to play Sunday when the Cleveland Browns host the Baltimore Ravens, despite dealing with chest and ribs injuries. Richardson was limited in practice during the week, but was listed as probable for Week 9 on Friday's injury report.

Richardson is coming off a career performance in Week 8. Despite worries that he would be limited, Richardson picked up 122 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in a windy, rainy game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Impact: Not only is Richardson going to play, but he is arguably a must-start against a Ravens defense that is still reeling from the loss of Ray Lewis at linebacker. The Ravens are giving up 4.0 yards per carry on the season, and have recently been gashed by the Houston Texans (198 yards rushing) and Dallas Cowboys (227 yards rushing).
