Isaac Redman Injury Update: Could provide fantasy stats on Sunday

Frederick Breedon

The Steelers are having some issues in their backfield. Redman is a fantasy option, but how much should you count on him?

Isaac Redman (ankle) was a full participant in practice on Friday as well as for the entire week. He is expected to start against the New York Giants.

Redman has been pretty bad for the Steelers and has a pathetic 2.5 yards per carry this season. His 150 yards in the passing game are more than the 127 on the ground and he has only one touchdown on the season.

Fantasy Impact: Well, beggars can't be choosers. The Steelers are hurting badly in the backfield with both Jonathan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall both listed as doubtful.

Its' not clear how many carries Redman will get and the smart money is on a pass-happy approach. Chris Rainey could also steal some carries, so Redman is really just a flex play this week.
