Robert Griffin III will see a new face starting opposite Josh Morgan this week. With Pierre Garcon still out, Aldrick Robinson will get the nod ahead of Leonard Hankerson against the Panthers on Sunday. Hankerson dropped a touchdown in Week 8 and has struggled to grab a stranglehold on the starting job as Mike Shanahan looks for just one consistent and healthy receiver for RG3.
Fred Davis, now on injured reserve, is the Redskins' leading receiver with 325 yards. Pierre Garcon went over 100 yards in Week 1, but has played sparingly since due to a foot injury. Even Morgan has just 263 yards in eight games. Shanahan is hoping that the speed of Robinson pays off, and that he can become Griffin's go-to guy.
Fantasy Take: Robinson had 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, but has just four catches for 62 yards since. It's unlikely that the second-year pro will come in and catch fire right away, but with that quarterback in that offense, it's a possibility.
Starting today does not mean that he should be owned in fantasy football. But keep your eye on him in case he has a big game. The Panthers are 15th in the NFL against the pass.
