Mohamed Massaquoi is active for Sunday's game between the Browns and the Ravens, but he will play behind Josh Gordon. We break down the fantasy implications.
Mohamed Massaquoi has been ruled active for Sunday's game between the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens, after sitting out since Week 3 with a hamstring injury. He will not replace Josh Gordon in the starting lineup, however, according to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland.
Gordon has emerged as one of quarterback Brandon Weeden's favorite targets during Massaquoi's five-game absence. He has 34 receptions for 433 yards and four touchdowns through eight games played this season.
Fantasy Impact: It remains to be seen whether Gordon will see less targets as a result of Massaquoi's return, but it appears he will remain the alpha deep threat in the Browns' receiving corps. Greg Little is still technically the team's No. 1 receiver, but Gordon has been much more productive.
The Ravens are reeling on defense, setting up the Browns for a productive day on the ground and through the air. Gordon is definitely worth fantasy consideration in standard formats this week. As for Massaquoi, hold off on targeting him off of waivers until you actually see him be productive.
