Jason Witten had seven receptions for 51 yards during the Cowboys' loss to the Falcons on Sunday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jason Witten had seven receptions for 51 yards during the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Witten was the second-most targeted player on the Cowboys with eight targets, behind only Miles Austin.
Witten was held without a touchdown for a fourth consecutive game. He remains one of the most efficient pass catchers in the NFL, however. Witten has caught at least 82 percent of his targets in five straight outings.
Fantasy Impact: While it is somewhat frustrating that Witten hasn't found the end zone more often this season, there is no reason to take him out of your starting fantasy lineup at the moment. He is catching passes at an incredible clip, and at some point you have to assume he will find a way to score.
The Philadelphia Eagles will look to shut down the Cowboys' passing game next week, but the tough defensive matchup could actually help Witten if it means Miles Austin and Dez Bryant have a tougher time getting open. Start Witten with confidence.
