Dez Bryant was held to one reception for 15 yards during the Cowboys' loss to the Falcons on Sunday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Dez Bryant was held to just one reception for 15 yards during the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Bryant was considered a game-time decision prior to kickoff after struggling with a hip injury during practice throughout the week.
Bryant has twice had less than 20 yards receiving in his last three games. He was also held under 20 yards in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. Bryant has scored in just one game this season.
Fantasy Impact: It's tough to say how much Bryant's hip injury limited him during Sunday's loss. He didn't look slower, but then again he was only targeted four times on the night. Be sure to check on his status throughout practice this week, but he is still a high-risk/high-reward fantasy option most Sundays even when healthy.
Next week's game going up against a Philadelphia Eagles secondary allowing just 6.6 yards per attempt and 229 yards per game does not bode well for Bryant's fantasy prospects. While the talented receiver is always a threat to blow up, there may be safer options at your disposal.
