Andrew Luck throws for 433 yards in career fantasy performance

Andrew Luck set an NFL rookie record with 433 yards passing during the Colts' win over the Dolphins on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Andrew Luck went 30-for-48 passing to set an NFL rookie record with 433 yards passing to help the Indianapolis Colts defeat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. He also had two touchdown passes on the day, boosting his total to 10 on the season.

Luck bested the previous record set by Cam Newton last season. He has now thrown for at least 309 yards in four of his eight games played this season.

Fantasy Impact: Luck has had a few natural growing pains this season, but on Sunday he looked every bit the can't-miss prospect he was hyped to be prior to the 2012 NFL Draft. The future is clearly very bright for the rookie out of Stanford.

As for his fantasy prospects, he probably isn't quite a regular starter in standard formats just yet. Bear in mind that he also threw for just 186 yards against the Cleveland Browns two weeks ago. Still, he is a solid bench/QB2 player, and is a priceless keeper league possession.
