Stevie Johnson has a thigh contusion, fantasy status unknown for Week 10

Bob Levey

Stevie Johnson took a hard shot to the thigh on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bills head coach Chan Gailey said on Monday that Stevie Johnson has a thigh contusion after taking a hard shot to his leg in Week 9 against the Texans. Johnson played through the injury, but the bruise appears to be significant.

Gailey was also uncertain about Johnson's status for the coming week, saying it would depend on how he heals going forward.

Fantasy Impact: The fact that he played through his injury should bode well for his status in Week 10. Johnson's leg will be monitored in the coming days, but it will depend on "swelling" and "how much of it drains", according to Gailey.

Check on his status throughout the week to see if you'll need a replacement in your lineup. The Bills play the Patriots on Sunday, so Johnson will likely see plenty of targets if he suits up.
