Kevin Kolb expected to return for fantasy owners 'sooner rather than later'

Norm Hall

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is expected back "sooner rather than later," according to coach Ken Whisenhunt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb should return "sooner rather than later," according to coach Ken Whisenhunt. Kolb (ribs) hasn't played since getting hurt in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills.

John Skelton has started since Kolb was hurt, but the Cardinals haven't won a game since starting the season 4-0. Skelton threw for 306 yards with a touchdown and interception in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. The Cardinals have a bye in Week 10 before facing the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners still aren't too worried about who is playing quarterback for Arizona but Larry Fitzgerald owners had to be happy with his touchdown catch from Skelton against the Packers. Arizona was winning under Kolb but fantasy teams were not.

Neither quarterback is a strong fantasy start going forward.
