Drew Brees went 21-for-27, passing for 239 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions during the Saints' win over the Eagles on Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Drew Brees went 21-for-27, passing for 239 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions to help the New Orleans Saints beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. He found Marques Colston for a 1-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, and Jimmy Graham for a 6-yard score in the third.
Brees has now thrown multiple touchdowns in six straight games. He has 22 total touchdown passes on the year, which is just behind the 25 passing touchdowns for league-leader Aaron Rodgers.
Fantasy Impact: Brees didn't put up a massive amount of yards for a second straight game, but his ability to find the end zone at a consistent clip makes him a weekly must-start fantasy option. He is playing as well as anyone in the league at the moment.
The Saints take on the Atlanta Falcons next week in what is technically a tough matchup. The Falcons have intercepted 10 passes on the season, and have allowed just eight touchdown passes. Brees should remain in your starting lineup, however. You'll be happy, especially if the game turns into a shootout.
