Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley reportedly 'would not hesitate' to run the score up on the Chiefs this weekend. We break down the potential fantasy implications.
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley apparently still harbors some hard feelings for his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. According ESPN's Adam Schefter (quoted via Evan Silva of Pro Football Talk) Haley "would not hesitate" to run the score up on the Chiefs this weekend on Monday Night Football if he can.
The Steelers offense has been playing well lately, racking up at least 349 total yards of offense in three straight wins. Ben Roethlisberger passed for 216 yards and two touchdowns, and Isaac Redman rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown during last week's win over the New York Giants.
Fantasy Impact: A Steelers offense that has found some momentum lately was already a solid bet to put up points against a Chiefs defense that is in downright shambles at the moment. Ben Roethlisberger has thrown multiple touchdown passes in five of eight games played this season, and will face a secondary that has given up 17 passing touchdowns on the year.
Meanwhile, while it is unclear who among Redman, Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer will take the lion's share of touches this weekend at running back, it should be noted that a Steelers running back has had over 100 yards of total offense in fourt straight games. The Chiefs are giving up 4.6 yards per carry on the season, spelling good things for Pittsburgh's running back corps.
