Owen Daniels held out of Texans practice: Fantasy implications

Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels did not practice on Wednesday and underwent tests because of a hip injury. Daniels, according to coach Gary Kubiak, was "very, very sore" but could still play without practicing.

Daniels had four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. The Texans face the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.

Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners will have to monitor this as the week goes along. It sounds like Daniels could play but a Plan B could be required if he's ruled out.

Daniels is a very good fantasy tight end and would be a high-end option for Week 10, even against a strong defense like Chicago's. If active, consider him a No. 1 option, although many fantasy owners will have to decide early if he's a game-time decision.
