Donald Brown list questionable by Colts for Thursday: Fantasy implications

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Donald Brown is listed as questionable for Thursday's game between the Colts and the Jaguars due to his bothersome knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Donald Brown is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the Colts' official site. Brown was active for last week's win over the Miami Dolphins, but he sat for the most part after experiencing swelling in his knee.

Brown has been unable to practice this week, putting his status for Thursday in serious jeopardy. If he is forced to sit, Vick Ballard will once again handle the workload out of the Colts' backfield.

Fantasy Impact: Brown reportedly could have taken more snaps against the Dolphins, but was held out as a precaution. It seems likely that the Colts will take the same approach considering the short turnaround to Thursday's game.

Ballard is the much safer option this week if you need help from someone in the Colts' backfield, though his production is somewhat underwhelming. He had 60 yards rushing on 16 carries against a very good Dolphins run defense.
