Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is expected to start against the Dolphins on Sunday, according to head coach Mike Munchak, as long as he has no "mental or physical setbacks." Locker (shoulder) has missed five straight games after getting knocked out early against the Texans in Week 4. He is splitting reps with Matt Hasselbeck in practice this week, but not taking hits.
Hasselbeck has 7 TD and 5 INT with a QB rating of 81.3 this year, but the Titans are anxious to get back Locker with the hopes that he can improve their 24th ranked offense.
Fantasy Take: Even though he has thrown a touchdown pass in six straight games, Hasselbeck is not a fantasy option. However, Locker could have a high fantasy ceiling with his dual-threat ability and he was off to a good start in 2012 before the injury. Overall, he has completed 63.2% of his passes for 781 yards, 4 TD and 2 INT in three full games.
The Dolphins are a solid defensive unit this year and it might be best to wait to consider Locker as a fantasy QB until Week 12 against the Jaguars. They are not as solid of a defensive unit.
