Owen Daniels' fantasy status in question with hip pointer

Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

Owen Daniels has been missing practice this week with a possible hip pointer, and his status for Sunday Night is in question. We break down the fantasy implications.

Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels (hip) may be a game time decision this week after suffering a nasty hip injury in Week 9. According to the official team website, coach Gary Kubiak says that it's a "bad, bad hip pointer" after only calling it a hip bruise earlier in the week.

Daniels has 37 catches for 478 yards and five TDs through eight games on the season.

Fantasy Impact: Daniels is a crucial part of the Texans' offense, so losing him would be a big blow against Chicago's bruising defense. We'll keep monitoring the injury reports and see if his hip improves before Sunday.

For now, consider him "questionable" and a game time decision. The Texans draw the SNF game, so fantasy owners can expect a long, anxious wait Sunday.
