Fred Jackson ineffective leading Bills in carries: Fantasy Implications

Tom Szczerbowski

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson was ineffective in Week 14. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson led his team in carries on Sunday. In the Week 14 match-up against the Rams, Jackson finished with 9 attempts for a grand total of 14 yards.

Jackson was also held out of the end zone on by the Rams. Instead, backup RB C.J. Spiller had two less carries and more than double that yardage.

Fantasy Analysis: When it comes to the Bills' backfield, it's been Spiller who has emerged as the better runner and thus the better fantasy option. Jackson's injury-prone, inconsistent ways have been a burden for a lot of fantasy owners.

The team as a whole has been underperforming, which makes either tailback a risky fantasy play in the postseason. If you have depth on your bench and a more favorable match-up in the future, explore it.
