Victor Cruz had eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown to lead the Giants wide receiver corps in a win over the Saints on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Victor Cruz had eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown on eight targets to help the New York Giants defeat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Hakeem Nicks had four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown on six targets, and Domenik Hixon also had a score to go with his three catches for 30 yards off four targets.
Cruz has now gone over 100 yards receiving in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Nicks' touchdown was his third on the season, and second in three games.
Fantasy Impact: Cruz once again solidified himself as Eli Manning's favorite target Sunday. As long as his quarterback is on top of his game, Cruz is a safe bet to put up solid fantasy numbers. Nicks' numbers were a shade below Cruz's, which has become normal for the receiver. His numbers are more likely to suffer if Manning is ever having an off night.
Both wideouts should be considered decent fantasy starters in standard fantasy formats. Just know that next week's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons could be an especially difficult one.
