Jason Avant puts up huge numbers for fantasy owners in Week 14

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Avant had his best game of the season on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jason Avant caught seven passes for 133 yards in Week 14 against the Buccaneers. He finished second in targets with 12, just one behind Jeremy Maclin on the afternoon.

Avant's previous season-high for receiving yards was 79, coming last week against the Cowboys.

Fantasy Impact: With DeSean Jackson out for the season, Avant is making the most of his playing time. Nick Foles played much better against the Buccaneers' weaker pass defense, leaving his receivers to finally benefit for once.

The Eagles face a tougher Bengals squad next week. Avant still doesn't look like much of option for starting, but his stock is improving. If he can continue to post bigger numbers like the past two weeks, he might be worth a look eventually.
