Calvin Johnson was "held" to 10 receptions for 118 yards off 13 targets during the Lions' loss to the Packers on Sunday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Calvin Johnson had 10 receptions for 118 yards off 13 targets during the Detroit Lions' loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. He led all players in catches, yards and targets, but could not find the end zone for Detroit.
Johnson was held without a touchdown for the first time since Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He extended his streak of outings with over 100 yards receiving to six games, however.
Fantasy Impact: Packers cornerback Tramon Williams was praised after the game for keeping Johnson "in check" on Sunday. The fact that 100-plus yards is now considered a poor outing for Johnson should tell you everything you need to know about how good he is as a wide receiver.
Johnson remains a must-start fantasy option as he continues his attempt to break Jerry Rice's NFL record for most receiving yards ever in a season. Matchups against Arizona, Atlanta and Chicago will be tough, but you'd be foolish to bet against the wideout at this point.
