Robert Griffin III has 'mild LCL sprain': Fantasy implications

The Redskins have confirmed that RG3 has an ACL sprain and he's day-to-day. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan confirmed in his Monday presser that QB Robert Griffin III (knee) has a "mild LCL sprain" and remains day-to-day. Shanahan also stated that RG3 is "definitely not ruled out" for next week's game against the Cleveland Browns.

RG3 was forced out of Sunday's win over the Ravens with the knee injury. He tried to make a heroic comeback, but it just wasn't happening. Kirk Cousins finished the dramatic overtime win.

Fantasy Impact: From the replays, the injury looked like a season-ender, but a Sunday night MRI revealed no torn ligaments. Redskins fans and fantasy owners can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

We'll keep you updated on RG3's status throughout the week. The big test will be whether or not he can practice. Stay tuned.
