Brent Celek ruled out of Thursday game with concussion: Fantasy implications

US PRESSWIRE

Brent Celek suffered a concussion Sunday and will not play on TNF. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled out TE Brent Celek (concussion) for Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals. Celek was knocked out of Sunday's win over the Buccaneers with the concussion. It's not believed to be serious, but there was no chance of him being cleared in time to play on the short week.

Clay Harbor will get the start in Celek's place.

Fantasy Impact: Another victim of the ill-advised TNF experiment--Celek would have been ready to play if the game was on Sunday. Regardless, fantasy owners should make adjustments for this week.

Celek should be back in time for the fantasy championship games, and he has an appealing matchup with the Redskins secondary.
