Stevan Ridley rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries during the Patriots' blowout win over the Texans on Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Stevan Ridley rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries during the New England Patriots' blowout win over the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. Shane Vereen also had a productive night, picking up 40 yards on eight carries.
Ridley has now rushed for a touchdown in six straight games, bringing his total to 10 scores on the season. He had at least 71 yards rushing in five of those games. Vereen has now rushed for at least 40 yards in three of his last four games.
Fantasy Impact: Ridley continues to be an end-zone magnet for the Pats, though he waited until midway through the fourth quarter to finally get on the scoreboard this week. He remains a solid RB2 most weeks going forward, though next week's matchup against a San Francisco 49ers defense giving up just 3.6 yards per carry could be tough.
Vereen is still on the edge of viability in most fantasy leagues. He did a lot of damage this week after the Patriots were up big. He may not be able to pick up many garbage-time yards next week.
