Aaron Hernandez had eight receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns during the Patriots' win over the Texans on Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Aaron Hernandez had eight receptions for 58 yards and two first-half touchdowns to help the New England Patriots rout the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. He was targeted a team-high 11 times on the night.
Hernandez has now caught eight passes off double-digit targets in back-to-back games. He caught multiple touchdowns for the first time since his 2010 rookie season.
Fantasy Impact: As long as a Rob Gronkowski is out (and he will likely sit at least through Week 15) Aaron Hernandez has to be considered a TE1 in all fantasy formats. Expect him to continue to see heavy targets in the red zone.
Next week's game against the San Francisco 49ers is another tough defensive matchup, though that didn't matter much to the Pats against the Texans. Hernandez should be a safe start regardless.
