Davone Bess ruled out for Week 15: Fantasy implications

USA TODAY Sports

Davone Bess has been ruled out by the Dolphins for Week 15 against the Jaguars. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davone Bess has been ruled out by the Miami Dolphins for Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to reports. Bess missed practice throughout the week due to a back injury.

Bess did not appear to suffer an injury last week against the San Francisco 49ers, so it's unclear how he hurt his back or whether the problem will linger long term. He has 61 receptions for 778 yards and a touchdown on the year.

Fantasy Impact: With Bess out, Brian Hartline becomes a much safer start despite a run of inconsistency. Marlon Moore and/or Rishard Matthews are very hard to recommend as fantasy options, however. Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins' offense have struggled to find much of a rhythm lately, making all skill players involved risky fantasy plays.
