Chris Ivory has been ruled out by the New Orleans Saints for their Week 15 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to reports. Ivory was unable to participate in practice this week due to a hamstring injury.
Ivory also missed last week's game against the New York Giants. He has appeared in just five games for the Saints this season, and has 195 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 36 carries.
Fantasy Impact: Ivory's absence will give more carries to Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas to split. Unfortunately, the Saints still won't show a preference between the two backs, so fantasy owners should not be expecting a big outing from either Ingram or Thomas.
If you're in a deep league, either back could be worth Flex consideration. In 10 or 12-team leagues they are much, much riskier plays, however. Darren Sproles remains the only consistent fantasy option out of the backfield due to his prowess as a receiver.
