Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson ripped off an 82-yard touchdown run against the St. Louis Rams. We break down the fantasy implications.
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson broke off an 82-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Vikings at 14-7 lead on the St. Louis Rams. Peterson had struggled before the touchdown, but now has nine carries for 90 yards and a score.
The 82-yard run is Peterson's longest of the season and AP's 11th touchdown. Coming into this game Peterson had 1,600 yards rushing and with the way he has been playing lately, a 2,000 yard season is a strong possibility.
Fantasy Impact: Peterson has been on an absolute tear lately. He has gone over 100 yards in seven straight games entering Sunday's contest against the Rams. With 90 yards midway through the second quarter, it looks as if he'll easily surpass that mark again on Sunday.
Peterson already has a strong stat-line for most any running back, but expect him to continue to produce throughout the rest of this game.
