Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez caught a touchdown in the Falcons rout of the Giants. We break down the fantasy implications.
Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez caught six passes for 49 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the New York Giants. The Falcons dominated the Giants, shutting them out 34-0.
Matt Ryan found Gonzalez on a 12-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter to put the Falcons up 14-0. Gonzalez has slowed down a bit in recent weeks, but showed on Sunday that he is still one of the most dangerous red zone targets in the league.
Fantasy Impact: Gonzalez has the capability of scoring any week and picked an important week for fantasy owners to come up with his eighth touchdown reception.
Gonzalez received the most targets of any Falcon with seven, topping both Julio Jones and Roddy White. If you are still alive in your fantasy league, feel confident keeping Gonzalez as your starter next week against the Lions.
